Despite the fact that the preparations for the match were not optimal, it was a lively Helsingborg who repeatedly threatened offensively.

After Djurgården's 1-0 goal ten minutes into the second half, it was Helsingborg for all the money. The equalizer came after Anthony van den Hurk won the ball back in Djurgården's play phase.

Hurk then passed Rasmus Jönsson who turned away Alska Witry before he put 1-1 in the far corner.

The turn was completed when Hurk himself became the goal scorer in the 72nd minute. A post from Martin Olsson reached Hurk who jumped high and timed the ball perfectly and nodded in 2-1.

Djurgården got an excellent position to equalize when Chilufya stole the ball from HIF goalkeeper Alexander Nilsson and got an open goal. But Chilufya, slightly out of angle, hit the ball into the post.

Good positions the first half

Instead, Helsingborg got some peace of mind when Gero met a corner signed Marcus Olsson and pulled it directly into goal with the wide side.

Already in the first half, Helsingborg had several good chances to break the deadlock.

Alex Timossi Andersson was on the cutting edge and created a real mess in the zoo defense. First, he took down a long ball just outside the penalty area, kept Erik Berg away and turned up for shooting with the left. However, the shot went wide.

A few minutes later, Hurk brushed the ball down to Timossi Andersson who made his way into the penalty area before he pulled the shot from a half-bad angle on an outrageous Per Kristian Bråtveit who made himself big.

Helsingborg really wanted to postpone the match because four players in the first team tested positive for the coronavirus during the week. Earlier today, however, the Swedish Football Association's competition committee (TK) announced that the match would still be played.

"TK has great faith in the protocol and the safety measures that the SEF clubs have agreed on in order to achieve infection-proof arrangements," TK wrote on the association's website.
