The Jordanian Federation gives the green light to resume exercises according to a strict health protocol

The Jordan Football Association has given the green light to resume training of local league teams, starting today, according to a strict health protocol due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, according to a statement on the federation's official website.

Since the current 21st, the Jordanian Federation has suspended the local league, all tournaments, and technical and administrative activities for a period of 14 days, with the high risk of the outbreak of the epidemic. The Jordanian Federation held a medical workshop last Thursday evening for professional clubs via "remote" video technology, supervised by the Vice President of the Medical Committee, Dr. Yahya Al-Maharmeh, and included a detailed explanation of the health protocol adopted during the training. "The decision excludes Al-Faisaly, Sahab and Hussein teams at the present time.

As the Al-Faisali team is still serving the isolation period since August 20 and for a period of 14 days, after it was confirmed that six players and two members of the administrative staff were infected with the Corona virus, while Al-Hussein and Sahab's teams are subject to special preventive measures as they are in direct contact with Al-Faisali. The three teams will be able to return to exercises successively upon confirmation of the negative results of their tests and obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Health. It is noteworthy that the league matches were resumed on the third of this month and the second, third and fourth stages were held, while the fifth phase will not be completed due to the repercussions of the injury to Al-Faisaly players.

The statement added that "the union completed the examinations of all professional clubs and organizational cadres during the past week, and they were all negative, which contributed to expediting the decision to resume training, pending the issuance of the Federation's decision to determine the fate of the professional league and other tournaments at the end of the current suspension period."
