Arsenal got a taste start on Community Shield, which goes between last season's winners of the Premier League and the FA Cup respectively. Already in the twelfth minute, Bukayo Saka sent a cross ball that found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the left of the penalty area.

Gabonesen, who became the match hero with two goals in the FA Cup final on August 1, stepped into the track, looked up and screwed in 1-0 in the far corner.

It was an even match, albeit a bit carelessly played - maybe the ring rust from the corona break is still in - where both teams had chances to fill in the goal record. However, Liverpool took over more and more when Arsenal back home and in the 73rd minute came the equalizer.

After some unfortunate bounces for Arsenal in the penalty area, the ball landed with the Japanese Takumi Minamino who scored his first goal as a Liverpool player.

There were no more goals in regular time and as no extra time is played in Community Shield, a penalty kick had to decide where the title would end up.

There, Rhian Brewster became Liverpool's wreck. The 20-year-old, who has impressed during the pre-season, was substituted just before full time, just to take a penalty. But he sent it into the crossbar, and also became the only one who missed.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became the hero again when he struck the decisive penalty and gave Arsenal another trophy.
