Ulf Lundberg, former coach of, among others, Södertälje's men and national team captain for the boys' U16 national team, is the new national team captain for Damkronorna.

Today he gathered the national team for the first time, when the season's first training camp started in Skövde.

"A great hunger"

The focus of the training, where he had the help of Tre Kronor's national team captain Johan Garpenlöv, was on attacking play.

- We need to be more toxic in the future, it is obvious in the preview I did. This also includes being confident in the game idea. So to dare to challenge and break patterns, we have already had time to talk a lot about, he says to SVT Sport, and further tells that he has got a good impression of his new team:

- I see a huge hunger. That the players really want to develop, I think was noticed on the ice. It was also noticed on the side.

Happy faces in the team

Not only Lundberg was happy and expectant after the first training with the gang. There were happy faces among the players as well.

- Fun to meet everyone on the team. Fun with new energy and atmosphere and a new national team captain, says goalkeeper Sara Grahn.

Yes, new national team captain in Ulf Lundberg. What are your first impressions of him?

- Great! Very calm and sane and pedagogical and explains well. Very good first impression.
