After a scoreless first half, much was about the situation where Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno jumped up to grab the ball deceptively unthreatened when Brighton's Neal Muapay jumped into him. Leno landed unhappily, was lying in the grass and screaming out his pain.

"I couldn't see the situation, it looked like a momentum where they both go on the ball but obviously it is very sad that a player gets hurt," Graham Potter said in Viasat's broadcast after the match.

After treatment on the pitch, the goalkeeper was carried off on stretcher and was noticeably annoyed at Muapay who got a scuffle.

Annoyed by end signal

The match looked to be a draw after Nicolas Pepe scored 1-0 for Arsenal in the 68th minute, and Lewis Dunk acknowledged in the 75th minute. But after five minutes of extra time, Aaron Connolly found Muapay in the penalty area that could decide the match for his Brighton.

After the final signal, it became annoying on the ground as several Arsenal players handed out pushes to the main character and expressed their frustration.

With the loss, Arsenal now has eight points up to a Champions League spot, with a match more played. For Graham Potter's Brighton, it was the first win of the year and three important points for not risking relegation.

- It feels good, it's a bit of an understatement, it feels wonderful. I'm very proud of the players, ”says Potter.
