A statement by the Ministry of Youth and Sports said, "Minister Adnan Darjal continues to monitor the health status of former national team star Ahmed Radi after the symptoms of the new Corona virus appear on him."

He added, "Since he heard the deteriorating health of Captain Ahmad Radhi, the minister has intensified his contacts with Minister of Health Hassan Al-Tamimi and officials in Al-Numan, Ibn Al-Nafees and Ibn Sina hospitals."

Radi, 57, has entered the legend and magic of Iraqi football, as millions of his fans like to call him, to the hospital to receive care and health care and to undergo a series of laboratory tests whose results have not been officially announced yet.

The star of the former Al-Zawraa team appeared in a video posted on his personal website lying in the hospital in which he spoke with difficulty saying, "I felt shortness of breath and other symptoms and faced difficult conditions before I was admitted to the hospital, and I almost lost my breathing completely."
"I hope that everyone will abide by all precautions to prevent this epidemic," he added.

Radi is very popular with Iraqi football fans and fans of Al-Zawra, the most prominent club in the capital, which he headed earlier in a special way, after he was represented by a player with whom he achieved many achievements that his supporters praised.
