During the current season, the biathlon team has many travel days. The same goes for pre-season camps, which usually take place at this time.

For the team's big star, Hanna Öberg, there are many positive parts of this year's practice at home in Östersund.

- The arrangement is really the same. Travel days take a lot of energy, which means you get better recovery on weekdays when we train here at home. This way you can maintain an even higher quality.

The head coach stuck in Germany

However, there are elements in the training that are easier to perform in the Alps.

- You have to run some extra back training now that you can't ride in the really long slopes in europe.

The biathlon team has not only been forced to cope with an absent training camp. The new head coach, Johannes Lukas, has been stuck at home in Germany, due to the corona pandemic.

- It was a whole new situation. But we had a very good dialogue and I was able to check files after each training and had video conferences with my other colleagues. It almost felt like being there, says Johannes Lukas with a smile on his lips.
