Jennie Öberg was for several years given in the Swedish cross country team and has a world cup victory in her career, from the sprint in Rybinsk 2015.
But now the 30-year-old chooses to leave. The reason is that, after some tougher years, she does not have the motivation to continue.
- I feel that I don't have the motivation to spend that time. I've been doing this all my adult life, but now I feel like I don't have the same motivation as before to do what it takes to stay at the level I want to be. I don't see myself getting stuck on the roller skis several miles a day, ”she tells NSD.
Öberg fell ill in Covid-19 a month ago, but has now recovered from the disease and is feeling well.
- The difference is that I now train to feel good and feel strong, I do not go outside and run double workouts for four hours.
