The upcoming bandy season will be packed. You start with a World Cup in the middle of the preseason and almost immediately after that the domestic season will start.

In December, they take a break to play the World Cup before the basic series continues and then wait for an end game. After the playoffs, a second World Cup will be played.

- Our attitude is to always move it one year ahead in time, to the planned time in March and April 2021. To post it in October we believe that will have negative effects on the club band in Sweden when going and playing The World Cup for two weeks when you are in the final phase of ordering the team's games before the upcoming series games, says the SM silver team Villa Lidköping's club director Jonas Johansson.

In addition to the interest perspective, Johansson also sees an increased risk of injury.

- It will entail a risk of players being worn out and there could be a lot of damage. But above all, there is a risk that interest in national team bandy will diminish in Sweden and the product will be watered down.

A big reason why you want to run two World Cups is that the revenue that a men's World Cup provides is needed.

- If it comes down to the fact that we have to squeeze in two championships, we probably have other problems within the band that we need to deal with.

The World Cup number one will be played in Irkutsk October 3-10 and the second in Syktyvkar at the end of March-April.
