How are they going to do it? By sharing disciplines. Two teams will compete in relays and each will perform half of the events. One will be made up of doctors and the other of entrepreneurs, all from the North and passionate about sport and endurance. Europe 1 questioned them.

"I risk getting dizzy at the end"

In recent days, they have been preparing for this new kind of sporting challenge. This is the case of Olivier Desurmont, a business manager who will have to travel 1.9 kilometers in his eleven-meter pool. "I'm going to have to do 173 lengths. So I might get a little dizzy at the end. It's not for, but it will be a first," he said on Europe 1.

At almost the same time, three cyclists will travel thirty kilometers each on their home trainer. And two runners will run a half-marathon on their treadmill.

"Do a sporting activity together while being confined"

Opposite, the team of doctors will cover exactly the same distances. But there is no question of embarking on a race for performance. "Our goal is not to get the hell out of it," says Jérôme Mizon, an emergency doctor in Lille. "Our goal is to do a sporting activity together while being confined and connected."

The event, filmed for 1 hour 30 minutes, will be commented on by top athletes such as the kayaker Maxime Beaumont, Olympic vice-champion in Rio and champion of France, who especially perceives the "confin'man" as a moment of sharing.

During this "confin'man", spectators will be invited to make donations for the association Sport dans la ville, which works for integration through sport.
