Javier Tiapes, president of the Spanish Football Association, told clubs that points will be deducted for refusing to play matches once the ban on soccer in Spain is lifted.

Speaking at a video conference, Tepas also said he would be ready to give players safety guarantees in the event that the season is resumed during the period of the Coruna virus epidemic.

"When they give us the order that we are able to play ... if any team refuses to play, it will be dealt with as if they did not show up," said Tepas.

He added: "In the beginning, three points will be deducted from his balance, and after that he may increase according to the regulations."

Tepas said he was concerned about players in clubs about to rise or fall, and they believed that failure to play could affect their fate.

He added: "Some players say if they do not play, they will go up or down. It will not be like this. We must adjust everyone. We must end the season."

Asked if he could determine whether it was the government or the clubs that would sign the guarantee, as requested by some players, saying that there would be no risk for them if they trained and played games again, he answered: "I have no problem to sign this as the league league Spaniard".
