"People's health is a top priority," Frank Kemperman, chairman of the organizing committee, said in a press release.
Aachen has hosted equestrian competitions since the 1920s, with previous races only for the World War II years 1940-1945.
Last year, the Swedish team won the national jump in Aachen.
