The Italian Football Association (ITL) yesterday renewed its commitment to end the season, which was suspended due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, at a time when it was confirmed that seven clubs opposed to the resumption of "Siri A", in light of the continued spread of the "Covid-19" virus.

In a press release, the League League said: The League Council that met has confirmed its intention to complete the 2019-2020 season if the government permits it.

She noted that any resumption will be "in accordance with the regulations laid down by the International Federation (FIFA), the European Union (FIFA)" and the Italian Football Association, and "with compliance with the medical protocols to protect the players."

The clubs of Brescia, Turin, Sampdoria, Udinese, Spal, Genoa and Cagliari have expressed opposition to the completion of the season because of "serious dangers", which may result from a decision of this nature, according to reports in Italy.
Six of these clubs are located in northern Italy, where the outbreak of the "Covid-19" virus has killed more than 24,000 people in the country.
Football stopped in Italy since the ninth of last March, and a decision was taken to extend the closing procedures in the country until May 3.
Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora will meet Italian Federation officials in the middle of this week, but he has warned that he is not sure that Serie A teams can even resume training.

"I do not provide any guarantees for the start of the tournament or the exercises on May 4, if the conditions in the country are not appropriate," Spadafora said on the "TG2 Post" program, which is broadcast on public "Ray" channel.

He added: "Sport is not just football, not just the Italian League. I will take care very carefully (the situation), but this should not create the illusion that resuming exercises means resuming the championship."

What confirms the size of the complications associated with the search for the resumption of the season, the decision of Torino Rodolfo Tavana, the doctor of the first division representative in the medical committee of the Federation, to resign from his post on Monday.
Tavana was appointed to the committee to help draft a protocol to resume football.
