The Iraqi Weightlifting Federation received a cable from its international counterpart, according to which it was decided to stop three international quarters from playing the game, because of their use of stimulant materials, which fall within the internationally prohibited materials, according to Iraqi media.
The issue is Safaa Rashid, Salwan Jassim and Ahmed Farouq. The International Weightlifting Federation affirmed in its telegram that the suspension was in principle due to possible violations of anti-doping regulations, and in accordance with recommendations from the Anti-Doping Committee.
The Iraqi Weightlifting Federation seeks to investigate the circumstances of this issue, which will cause Iraq to be deprived of its presence on the Olympic podiums, especially since Iraq is one of the developed countries in the sport of lifting locks.
