British newspaper "Daily Mail" revealed the list of the richest English Premier League clubs in the world, and Egyptian businessman Nassif Sawiris, owner of Aston Villa, finished sixth.

"Sawiris ranks sixth with a fortune of five billion pounds, outperforming the owners of Manchester United (ninth) and Liverpool, ranked 12th in the ranking table," the newspaper said.

"Nassef Sawiris acquired Aston Villa in July 2018 from Chinese Tony Tony Xia, when he owned 55% of the club's shares," she added.

Aston Villa, during the time of Nassir Sawiris, returned to the Premier League again after years in the first class.
