German Emery Chan believes that matches without fans (ghost matches) are not an obstacle for his team, Borussia Dortmund, in light of the crisis of the spread of the Coruna virus.

The term "ghost matches" has become widely used in the foreign press and has become a newcomer to the world of the round witch.

The player confirmed - in an interview published by the German newspaper "Bild" on Sunday - that the establishment of matches without fans was "very bad ... but in light of our suffering from the outbreak of the Corona epidemic for some time, it is better to hold matches without fans than not."

On the struggle for the Bundesliga title, the player indicated that matches without fans do not give Dortmund any advantage.

"But the other teams are also in good shape with their stadiums. This is not fair for any team. We should try to win our matches even if they are without fans," he said.

Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga, just four points behind champions Bayern Munich and just one point ahead of third-placed Leipzig.

"It will be difficult, of course, but we will face Bayern and Leipzig in the remaining matches. Therefore, we still have direct competitors. We have to win these matches. Holding matches without fans should not be an excuse," he said.

The German Bundesliga wants to determine with the clubs next Thursday how to resume the league in both first and second degrees during the current "Corona" crisis.

And there is still hope for professional football officials to finish the season before June 30th through "ghost matches".
