Former Al-Ahly youth player, Al-Masry Al-Dawly, Hosni Abed Rabbo, confirmed that he was forced to retire by a decision of an existing Ismaili club official, whose name was not revealed.

Hosni Abed Rabbo, nicknamed "The Egyptian Football Caesar" within the ranks of Al Ahly youth, seasoned, 2008/2009, and 2009/2010, as he participated in the World Cup of Clubs hosted by the capital Abu Dhabi.

Abed Rabbo said in televised remarks and tears were falling from his eye. I retired last season while I was at the top of my bid. An Ismaili club official did not want to continue because I was standing in the face of the administration and demanding the players ’dues.

He added: "If I were in a club other than Ismaili, I would have played for the next three seasons, Ahmed Fathi the same age and signed three years to come with the Pyramids club, and I am no less in giving."

He pointed out, "I have never seen a player who was exposed to injustice like the one I was exposed to within the walls of the Ismaili Club. I sacrificed millions of pounds in order to defend his shirt, and I refused to continue my professional career, whether in the UAE or France, and I promised when officials in the Dervish administration asked that."

Abd Rabo continued: "Unfortunately, after all this, the official did not give me the opportunity to choose the timing in which I retire, and forced me to hate this step, and more than that, he deliberately distorted my image in front of Ismaili fans, and unfortunately he succeeded in that."

He hinted: "If I were a player in Al-Ahly or Zamalek, I would become a legend in one of the two clubs, and my history will be better appreciated. I am the only player who played 104 international matches from outside Al-Ahly and Zamalek, and I got the best player in Africa in the Nations Championship in 2008, and yet he did not honor me." Ismaili at any time on this achievement, unfortunately I discovered after a long life in stadiums that the respected player has no place in honoring parties.
