The famous Brazilian coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari, who won the FIFA World Cup with "samba" in 2002, has become one of the options offered today along with the names that were traded in the previous period to lead the national team to succeed Serbian Ivan Jovanovic.

This came according to what was announced by the coach's agent, Jorge Machado, in statements to the "Fox Sport" channel, where he confirmed that Scolari is among other names offered, including Sharjah coach Abdulaziz Al-Anbari, and Croatian Zoran Mamic, former coach of the Al Ain team.

"Scolari has received offers from the UAE and China, and the negotiations have reached an advanced stage," Machado said, without specifying which destination the 71-year-old coach chose.

Machado said that the conditions that the world is currently experiencing due to the outbreak of the Corona virus are among the reasons that delayed the decision in the future of the coach, but stressed that his next destination is Asia.

He revealed that Scolari was close to taking over the Argentine Boca Juniors team, and said: “We were close to contracting, but the talks did not develop because of the Argentine team after the party that we negotiated failed to win the club’s elections, after which the negotiations collapsed.”

The veteran coach has a great experience in the Gulf region, as he trained many Saudi and Kuwaiti clubs, as he led Kuwait to the 1990 Gulf Cup title, and globally he coached Brazil and Portugal, the English club Chelsea, the Brazilian Grimo and the Uzbek Bunyodkor. One of his achievements was winning the Asian Champions with Chinese Guangzhou in 2015.
