It is a new trend that targets interior well-being. Clothes that make us feel lighter, that calm us or that make us more confident thanks to vibrations well felt here and there.

By wearing certain clothes, sometimes you feel better, you gain insurance. But you have found clothes that act directly on our physique. Vibrant clothes, which can calm us or, on the contrary, give us fishing. These are apparently normal sweaters, jackets, dresses. But in which dozens of micro-motors were sewn in key places: along the sleeves, in the back, around the waist. And then we program them to vibrate in rhythm. For example with back and forth movements, circular movements, small tapping… I would have thought that it tickles or that it gives chills. Apparently not. It has been tested on around fifty people. And it seems to soothe them, a bit like when you gently run your hand behind your back. And by playing with vibrations in this way, we would be able to produce a whole range of sensations, like making us lighter or more energetic.

Have you tried, does it really work?

No Unfortunately. Confinement requires, everything was done remotely (in addition, it was a dress). But I would have liked. Because they also have a sweater that cuddles, a shirt that improves posture by scratching you right in the right place or a scarf that relaxes the neck with small massages. They were created by designers from the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Do we know if it will be marketed?

It is the objective. Even if, for the moment, we are closer to haute couture. But they explained to me that technology will also be used on weighted blankets (those that help sleep better because it feels like you are swaddled like a baby). By adding small motors, the blanket could also relax us and even rock us to maximize the cocooning effect. And that too, I would like to try.
