The RFU notified UEFA of St. Petersburg’s readiness to host Euro matches in 2021

It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the communication service of the RFU.

“The RFU sent a letter to UEFA after receiving appropriate guarantees from the authorities of St. Petersburg,” the message said.

The 16th ever European Championship will be held in 12 cities in 11 countries: in St. Petersburg, London, Munich, Baku, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Glasgow, Budapest and Amsterdam. This week, foreign media reported that the number of host cities could be reduced due to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier it was reported that St. Petersburg did not intend to refuse to hold matches of the European Football Championship.
