Egyptian media reports revealed that the Al-Ahly club has no desire to open the door to negotiate again with the international player, Ahmed Fathi, after the Pyramids club's decision to not activate the contract that was previously signed with the player.

Reports indicated that Al-Ahly club president Mahmoud Al-Khatib had instructed the Planning Committee not to open the door for negotiations again with Fathi, and to limit the period the player would spend with the club after the FIFA decision to extend the players ’contracts until the end of the local leagues.

Ahmed Fathi earlier refused to extend his contract with Al-Ahly, after the latter offered him to sign for two seasons in exchange for 23 million pounds free of taxes and the participation rate.

The player preferred to move to Pyramids Club, which gave him a huge offer worth 45 million pounds in exchange for signing for three seasons, before the club withdrew its agreement, due to being subjected to pressure from the former club president Turki Al Sheikh, to satisfy Al-Ahly and his fans.

On another matter, the right back of the Pyramids club, Omar Jaber, refused to move to Al-Ahly in the next summer transfer window.

In press statements, the player confirmed that he did not prefer to wear the red shirt in the future because of his affiliation with the Zamalek club, making the White Castle a first choice for him in the event of leaving Pyramids.

Omar Jaber indicated that the situation is currently stable inside Pyramids and that he will not leave unless the club administration wishes to do so.

Zamalek want to restore the player again to support the right-wing that suffers from a shortage in this position after the escape of the Tunisian player, Hamdi Al-Naqaz.
