It took almost half a year, then the transition from Linköping to Gothenburg was completed for Stina Blackstenius. But it is far from happy mines in Linköping after the transition, who wanted to keep the national team star.

- It was a situation where we had a difficult financial situation. But when we got it clear we changed that we didn't want to sell Blackstenius. It is a fantastic player that we would like to keep. And with that we thought we put it behind us, says Paul Lindvall.

Gothenburg got it right

The two clubs already negotiated a transition in November. But after Linköping changed and wanted to retain Blackstenius, it became a situation where Gothenburg took the matter to the Swedish Football Association's arbitration board when they felt that the process had gone so far that the star should play in Gothenburg. And that was something they got right into.

- As it has now become, it has nevertheless been accepted that the negotiations and everything was clear in November as Gothenburg took it, says Gothenburg coach Mats Gren.

No contact before the clubs between January

But from Linköping it is not the same view of the situation. The club claims that they only had contact with Blackstenius agent during the fall, and that the first contact with Gothenburg was in January. And then Linköping clearly answered that the club was not interested in a sale. The fact that Gothenburg nevertheless got it right from the arbitration board means that Paul Lindvall asks himself what is okay, and how it can affect future transitions.

- Is it okay to come three to four months later and say that we signed an agreement? I think it will have very strange consequences. We thank Stina and wish her the best of luck. We have no hard feelings for her at all, we will miss her in our team this year.
