As for the Tokyo Olympics acting issue, Japanese Prime Minister Abe and IOC Chairman Thomas Bach have been discussing over the phone since 8 o'clock in the evening. It will be noted when it will be put off, but prior to this, an IOC member attracted attention by saying that he had already decided internally to hold the Tokyo Olympics next year.

Dick Pound, who has served as the longest-established IOC member for 42 years, said in an interview with USA Today, "The Tokyo Olympics scheduled for July of this year will be postponed to the Corona 19 situation and is likely to be held next year."

"The decision was decided based on the information IOC had," said Dick Pound, a member of the IOC Executive Committee and Vice Chairman. "The details will be resolved within 4 weeks."

Amid the trend of acting in a year, the strongest American Olympic Committee in sports also emphasized that "home athletes are overwhelmingly demanding acting."

In addition, NBC, which pays more than half of the world's Olympic broadcast fees, said it would follow the decision to postpone.

The head of the athletics, which won the Olympics' most medal, also contributed to the acting theory.

Sebastian Ko said, "We are discussing a change in the schedule for the next year's World Athletics Championships in which the competition period overlaps, considering the one-year delay in the Tokyo Olympics."

The Japanese torch relay, which was scheduled to start on the 26th, was also put on hold.

The Tokyo Organizing Committee announced that instead of running the torch until the final decision was made, the vehicle carrying the torch would run on the road.

Japan's NHK reported earlier that Japanese Prime Minister Abe spoke with IOC chairman Bach to step forward to propose a one-year Olympics delay.
