While doubts remain around the holding or not of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, one of the two vice-presidents of the Japanese Olympic committee, Kozo Tashima, announced that he had tested positive for coronavirus.

"Today my test results for the new coronavirus have been positive," said Tashima in a statement released by the Japanese Football Association, which he heads. This announcement comes shortly after that of the reduction of the festivities relating to the Olympic torch relay, whose departure was scheduled for March 26 in the Fukushima region.
