Kronwall began his career in Djurgården in 2002 and spent six years in North America, most of the time NHL, before heading off to Russia in 2011.

He will remember the eight years in Yaroslavl.

“I will go through these moments in my memory as long as I live. The end wasn't like what I dreamed of, but that's my story. Yaroslavl became a second home for us and I and my family are very grateful, ”Kronwall writes on Instagram.

One of the highlights of his career was when, as the team captain, he led Tre Kronor to the World Cup gold at the World Cup in the Globe 2013.

Staffan, who has also been a guest expert on SVT Sport, is the younger brother of Niklas Kronwall who celebrated great success in the Detroit Red Wings.

In total there were around 1300 matches in his career.
