Pontus Tidemand and the card reader Patrik Barth, who yesterday took all the stretch victories in their class, during the morning in Mexico have withdrawn further in the lead and run checked without accident. With six laps left to drive off the Saturday stage, Tidemand has a big lead for the second Nikolay Gryazin.

- Not 100% sure of the tire selection we made this morning, but we still had a good first loop and managed to extend our WRC2 lead to 56.9 seconds. It's a long rally and we have to take care of our lead so we try to avoid big stones but overall I think we have good speed, writes Tidemand on social media after this morning's distances.

In addition to leading the WRC2, Tidemand is in sixth place in the total, all cars included.

Ogier drew out in the WRC

In the heaviest class, WRC, Sébastien Ogier has continued to take over. The Frenchman went out this morning with a lead of just over 13 seconds. Ogier started with a stretch victory on the first stretch of the day and then had the third best time on the two successive stretches and thus extended his lead.

Ahead of the six final stretches, Ogier had a lead of 28.3 seconds to Teemu Suninen, who guarded second place. The Finnish Suninen is pressed by both Ott Tänak and Elfyn Evans who shadows close behind.

Today's stage includes a total of 133.74 full-speed kilometers and will only end the night until Sunday Swedish time.
