Mr. Sorimachi appointed as Technical Committee Chairman of Japan Football Association 22 March 29 at 22:29

Koji Sorimachi, who was the coach of the Japan Football Association and will be responsible for strengthening and training, will be appointed as the coach of the J-League Masaru Matsumoto until last season.

56-year-old Sorimachi led the men's representative at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and later raised the team from J2 to J1 while coaching J-League Shonan Bellmare and Matsumoto Yamamasa.

The Japan Football Association has held a board meeting in Tokyo to approve the new executive system, and Mr. Sorimachi will be appointed as the technical chairman, who will be responsible for strengthening and training.

Officially, it will be decided by the Council of 29 this month.

Mr. Sekizuka will be devoting himself to the role of supporting the Japan National Team.
