It was in Russian Chanty-Mansiysk that Magdalena Olsson was able to state that she won her second championship medal in just a few days.

When she crossed the finish line at the long-distance race in the European Championships, she was only twelve seconds behind Russian Marina Vyatkina.

- I am really pleased! It was a really tough and physical long distance today, so given that I am really pleased that I managed to keep it together, says Magdalena Olsson to Swedish orientation after the race.

When in the rough terrain of one and a half miles with 30 checks, it was about not making any mistakes and choosing the right path.

- I was very careful about focusing today, just being focused on the orientation and fighting. This is my first long distance medal, so it feels great. It's also great that it's so close to gold, says Olsson.

For Olsson's part, the European Championship silver was the second of the championship when she also came second in Thursday's sprint relay where she formed teams with Markus Lundholm.

Also in the top ten list was Isabel Salén who turned eight and Linda Lindkvist as the tenth place.

In the men's race it became a clean home stool where Mora rider Andrey Lamov climbed to the top of the stool. He won by just seven seconds margin to Sergey Gorlanov.

Two Swedes placed in the top ten: Erik Rost turned seven and Markus Lundholm nine.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the championship will be linked with relays to be run.
