The interior band tried to play their series clearly. While the basketball, football and ice hockey canceled their matches earlier this week, the Indebandy Association insisted as late as Saturday that matches of importance to the table situation should be played.
However, matches that are meaningless in terms of series placement could be canceled if both teams would request it.
But on Saturday night the turn came. Now all matches are postponed.
The basic series in the men's super league would have ended on Saturday, but four of seven matches were canceled. In the women's super league, four matches were played. In a week, the last round would have been played.
"Our hope and common ambition is for the basic series in SSL to be played clearly and for us to play the playoffs on both the ladies and gentlemen's side and for the SM finals to be played as planned," writes Superligan and the Inner Band in a joint press release.
The men's and women's indoor band finals are scheduled to be played in the Globe in Stockholm on April 25.
"By March 23, 2020, we will jointly make a new decision on when the remaining matches will be played, as well as if and if so how the playoffs are to be performed, which can be done at the earliest starting on March 28, 2020."
