Parts of the national team, the sprinters, went to Canada earlier this week. In Quebec, the sprint races will be run this weekend.

Yesterday, the first turn came when the union decided not to send the distance riders to Canada and the United States, where the World Cup would also have run.

Now we are taking further action and sending home the national team leaders and leaders who are in place in Quebec.

- Due to the uncertainty regarding canceled flights and travel bans, we do not want to risk that our riders will not be able to return from Canada after the weekend. That is why we have decided that they are going home already today, says length manager Daniel Fåhraeus in a press release.

Linn Svahn leads the sprint cup at 509 points, Jonna Sundling is second at 486. Trean Anamarija Lampic has 472 can if she goes well go for Svahn and take care of the overall victory.

At the time of writing, the plan is for the competitions in Quebec to run as planned.
