Three Skåne villages had been played before tonight's meeting. All three had been won by Rögle - and so it was tonight for empty doctors.

- You really understand what the fans mean at the stand, says Ted Brithen to C More.

Malmö had the lead with 2-0 after the first period but then it was only Rögle in the goal protocol. With two goals in the second period and then three goals in the final third period, they turned and won this derby as well.

- I think we get into it and fight for each other. In these darker times, it's important that we do what we can to provide good entertainment for those who watch TV and win against the biggest rivals for our fans, says Brithen.

The club's best results

Rögle finishes in third place in the table - at the same point as Färjestad but with a goal worse in goal difference. It is the club's best result ever in a basic series and the team is ready for CHL for the first time.

- Very proud of the guys how we performed this season. We have had many injuries, but the guys who have not been injured have done a fantastic job, says Brithen.

No points by Curran

Prior to the match, Kodie Curran was 49 points and chased all time points for slopes. He has five points up to the record that David Petrasek holds. But there were no points for him during the evening, but he must take comfort in having been awarded the gold helmet.
