The Spanish authorities refused to allow the Roma team plane to land on their soil in order to meet Seville in the European League on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the Roma mission was to leave Italy for Spain for the 32nd second leg match.

"The team will not travel to Spain for the team's match against Seville in the European Championship," the club said in a statement.

"This is because the plane coming from Italy is not allowed to land in Spain," the statement added.

Roma are awaiting more details from the European Football Association soon.

The Corona virus was widespread in Italy, as the number of infected people reached more than 10,000 cases, with more than 600 deaths.
