Things are moving behind the scenes at FC Nantes.

Michel Audrain was chosen by the Kita family to join the recruitment unit of FC Nantes, headed by Philippe Mao.

A former player notably from Angers and Bordeaux in the 1980s, Michel Audrain was subsequently the assistant coach of Hubert Fournier in Reims and Lyon and of Christian Gourcuff in Lorient and Rennes. The two men have long been linked by a solid friendship and it is the Nantes coach who would have suggested his name to Franck and Waldemar Kita.

Deputy of Mercadal in Caen

Until June 2019, Michel Audrain was Fabien Mercadal's assistant at Stade Malherbe de Caen, before he was removed from his post after relegation to Ligue 2 from the Norman club.

FC Nantes had ended, at the beginning of February, the missions of Jean-Marc Chanelet and Chérif Oudjani, who then made up the club's recruitment cell. The two men arrived at the club in January 2019, under Vahid Halilhodzic.
