Petronella Ekroth signed for Roma in January after a shorter victory in the damall Swedish Djurgården.

But so far there have only been four matches for the Swedish center-back in Serie A this spring.

Now it looks like it will be at least until April 3 before she can play again. On Monday afternoon, the Italian Olympic Committee announced that they were demanding that all sports in the country be stopped until then.

"Giant Particularly"

Ekroth would have flown to Rome this morning.

- I knew this earlier today. That is why I remain in Sweden. I really should have gone earlier this morning, but we haven't got much more information now. It started a little already yesterday. The club said I would not go back. The only thing we heard today is that the league is postponed. They are sitting in a meeting now so we do not know much more, she tells SVT Sport.

- It's very special. There has never been anything like this. The virus itself has not come to Rome yet, so you do not know how dangerous this really is. You yourself think it's a flu, but obviously it's worse than that. That it gets this way is very special.
