FIFA has decided to postpone the Asian qualifying matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and 2023 Asian Cup, which were scheduled between March 23 and March 31, and between June 1 and June 9, with the new dates to be determined later.
FIFA indicated that he would not object to the holding of international matches on the mentioned dates, but only on condition that the approval of the AFC and FIFA be taken before that, stressing the need to follow the required safety measures.
Viva added that he will discuss with the AFC more details about the postponed matches.
The decision comes in anticipation of the spread of the Corona virus, which led to the cancellation and postponement of many sporting events and the establishment of some of them without an audience.
