Columbus went up a 2-0 lead in the second period when Emil Bemström first snapped the puck up close before Eric Robinson extended.

In the third period, Elias Pettersson went on an expulsion for an elbow attack on Robinson, but immediately upon entering the ice again he took revenge.

He got the puck from Oscar Fantenberg and got away with the goalkeeper when he was dropped by Columbus Ryan Murray. Despite that, he managed to tap the 2-1 goal behind Elvis Merzlikins.

2-1 was also the final result and it was an important victory for Columbus, just like Vancouver chasing the playoffs in the NHL. The Canucks have lost five of their last six games.
