A closed-door form has been decided on the Paris-Nice cycle race, without audiences in the start and finish areas, due to the new measures linked to the coronavirus, the organizers announced on Monday.

"Restrictions of access to the public will be organized on the departure and arrival sites of the stages by the installation of a protective airlock 100 meters from the podium for the departures and 300 meters for the arrivals," said ASO.

The measure is applicable from the second stage, which left in the morning from Chevreuse (Yvelines). The arrival is scheduled in Châlette-sur-Loing (Loiret). Monday, the Minister of Sports Roxana Maracineanu, while advocating "sports continuity", announced that during this period, "the camera can become our doctrine for organizing competitions and professional sport".
