The oldest have not forgotten it. In 1982, AS Saint-Etienne disputed and lost their last Coupe de France final to PSG, after a memorable match. Thirty-eight years later, the Greens will therefore find the Parisians at the Stade de France on April 25, after a qualification won after the suspense, this Thursday, against the Stade Rennais (2-1).
Kolodziejczak-Diony, the tandem that paved the way

But it needed a hero and who better than an old outcast, gone through difficult times since his arrival: Ryad Boudebouz. In the last seconds, following a scramble in front of the surface, the Algerian international launched a victorious strike close to the post (2-1, 94th). Mass was said and the green people could invade the lawn of Geoffroy-Guichard at the final whistle, in a highly charged atmosphere. The night promises to be long and festive in Saint-Etienne.
