Turin, where Linda Sembrant lives and plays in Juventus, is not the part of northern Italy worst affected by the corona virus, but the Swedish Football Association's medical team still made the decision that the 32-year-old would not go to Portugal.

- Of course, it feels very sad not to be able to participate. I was really looking forward to the Algarve Cup and this camp. It's been a while since we met with the national team and the Algarve Cup is a fantastic fun tournament, she says.

Not all other unions have made the same decision. Among other things, ten of her teammates play in Italy's team in the same tournament.

- All unions make their decisions well. For me it was special in that I was really ready for the Algarve Cup and was going there. Almost everyone in the team is down there. All of Italy went except the Milan players. Otherwise, virtually everyone is either in the Algarve or on other national team assignments. Every now and then you were sick and disappointed, but it is a medical decision and there is nothing you can do about it, says Sembrant.

Mittbacken's Danish teammate Sofie Junge Pedersen was also stopped by her union. Since Sembrant will now train with Juventus, they will be about 4-5 players in training.

"You have to think about what you do"

Sembrant says that it is relatively quiet in Turin compared to other parts of northern Italy, but that the virus nevertheless reminded itself that some bunk up with food.

Are you worried?

- No, I don't. Then you have to have a rope sect and be careful and such. You have to think about what you do. At present it is quite calm in Turin.

"Feels like nobody knows anything"

Sporty then, considering you miss the national team collection?

- For me, it's all about training really well to be ready for the next collection. Of course, I would have liked to have played and had good matches. We'll see what happens to all the matches in Italy as well.

Many matches have been postponed in Italy, but those decisions often come late.

- It will probably only be to follow and listen to the directives. It can happen a lot from day to day and week to week. It feels like no one knows anything about the coming time, says Sembrant about the matches with Juventus.
