Anna Swenn Larsson stands for a nice season and has two other places to her name during the winter. Now her fine form is interrupted by canceled competitions in Ofterschwang this weekend where the Swedish alpine skier had the chance to climb in the slalom cup where she is currently fifth.

- Really sad considering we only have eight slalom competitions this year, says Swenn Larsson to SVT Sport

Cortina's decision comes on Friday

In Kranjska Gora, Anna Swenn Larsson was on her way to her first World Cup win in her career but with only four gates left, the 28-year-old drove out. Before the races in Ofterschwang, Anna Swenn Larsson was craving revenge, but those competitions are now canceled according to bad weather conditions.

- I really wanted to compete but now we were told yesterday that we can compete in Åre. It feels great to be able to drive at home, ”says alpine rider SVT Sport.

The races in Åre will thus be run but on Friday will make decisions regarding the World Cup final in Cortina. Last week, Fis announced that the competitions will be run by the public but given the spread of the corona virus in northern Italy, the competitions can now be moved where Åre has been discussed as a current alternative if the competitions are moved.

- I really hope it just gets rid of. I understand that safety must be taken into account, but I'm so embarrassed to drive that I just want it to be somewhere, says Swenn Larsson to SVT Sport.
