The English Football Association and the Premier League have investigated the cost and consequences of a possible public ban on matches to cure the spread of the Corona virus, writes British Dailymail.

However, both organizations are under the Public Health Authority's referral before taking action for upcoming matches.

England looks towards Italy

In Italy, six Serie A matches had to be postponed as a result of the Corona virus. England's Football Federation has expressed concern over an upcoming training match between England and Italy at Wembley Stadium on March 27. But the match remains as previously stated if no other reference is given from the Public Health Authority.

Jürgen Klopp is not worried

Serial leader Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp has been asked by an English reporter about how he sees the threat that matches may be played in front of empty stands.

- No Liverpool fan is stupid enough to believe that could happen, Klopp tells Reuters.

Klopp also gets asked if there could be any risk of supporters becoming paranoid about the spread of the virus.

- Our fans are not paranoid. I think it's people who aren't interested in us picking up these speculations. It is not reasonable to believe this, concludes Klopp.
