Serial leader Luleå fell heavily in derby away to Skellefteå on Tuesday (1-4) and was revenge-sucking before the away meeting with Brynäs. Brynäs, in turn, came from a strong turnaround and victory on penalties at home against HV71.

It was also the home team that started the best.

Just over 13 minutes into the first period, points king Anton Rödin put 1–0 in powerplay via a governing skate.

"Great to see"

The team captain was also behind the 2-0 goal for the home team. After winning the puck out at the coffin eleven minutes into the second he found Niclas Andersén who in turn gave the puck to Greg Scott. And the Canadian made no mistake. The 31-year-old effectively chipped in and made his own return behind David Rautio in the away goal - even though it was Luleå who led the game and had 13-5 shots.

- Well done by Greg. He went on goal, a return goal, great to see, said Andersén, who made his 400th match in Brynäströjan and was hailed before the drop.

On the ice he enjoyed.

- What to say, we lead 2-0. Then we are perfectionists and want everything to be right, but that is not always the case.

Sure, Luleå reduced to 1-3 by Petter Emanuelsson - but it wasn't more fun for the guests.

"No good match"

Anton Rödin sent 4-1 into an empty cage with barely two minutes left of the match and in the final minute Jaedon Descheneau put 5-1.

Thus Luleå suffered his second straight loss.

- Over 60 minutes is not a good match. We are skimming with the puck and are not prepared to do the shit job in front of their goal to get the puck in, Petter Emanuelsson told C More and continued:

- We have to hide a lot more and get more shots. We have a certain takeover in the second and third but must put them there and above all be much hotter.

The distance down to the new table van Frölunda is now eight points after 40 games. Brynäs raised to tenth.
