The Egyptian Football Association said on Monday that the Discipline and Ethics Committee decided to suspend five main players in the Pyramids (Al-Ahram) team for three games due to non-sports behavior during the 2-1 defeat of Al-Ahly in the Premier League last Thursday.

He explained - in a statement - that the suspension includes defenders Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Rajab Bakkar, Ali Jabr and Omar Jaber, in addition to the midfielder Islam Issa, and each player was fined fifty thousand pounds ($ 3179).

The same punishment extended to Mamdouh Eid, CEO of Pyramids, and Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of Al-Ahly football, was punished with one match suspension and the same fine.

Al-Ahly was punished with a fine of one hundred thousand pounds due to his fans insulting the Pyramids players.

Al-Ahly turned his delay into a controversial goal in stoppage time, and the referee sent off the Pyramids Mansour and Bakkar duo before the end of the match.
