Football suffers due to the illness of its legend, the best player in history who crowned the World Cup three times (1958-1962-1970), Brazilian Pele, suffers from illness and depression and barely leaves home due to health problems that made him unable to walk normally.

The son of the Brazilian legend Pele revealed that his 79-year-old father, who had suffered from health problems in the past years, had become "very fragile in terms of movement, which caused his suffering from a type of depression."

"Just imagine, he - the king - has always had a strong personality, and now he cannot walk normally. He is ashamed and embarrassed about it," Pele's son said in an interview published by the Brazilian Globo Sporty website.

Pele is considered one of the best, if not the best, players in history, and he is the only one to have won the World Cup three times (1958, 1962 and 1970), after a victorious march in which he scored more than a thousand goals.

"He's doing better than he did on the wheelchair recently, but he's still suffering," he said.
