“It's just beyond reasonable limits”: Soldatova’s gymnast spoke about her health after reports of an “attempted suicide”

A day after the publication of false information about the alleged attempted suicide of the four-time world champion in rhythmic gymnastics, Alexandra Soldatova, the athlete made another statement regarding the current situation.

According to the 21-year-old gymnast, what she read about herself plunged her into shock. The champion emphasized that she did not even think about suicide, but only accidentally cut herself, and then decided to call in the hospital on the way to training.

“I thought that I was well done, I behave as a responsible person, I will not self-medicate, I will turn to a doctor. Yeah, there it was! I didn’t have time to say anything ... I only managed to warn the trainer that I was late for training, and that’s all. Then these rumors started: “I feel bad,” “I am dying,” and so on, ”Soldatova said in a video message on her Instagram.

Addressing the fans, the gymnast urged them not to believe everything that was written in the press, and complained that in two days she had experienced real “moral horror”. At the same time, Soldatova thanked her fans for their health wishes, but noted that they were irrelevant.

“Everything is fine with me, I feel just fine. I want to say that I am shocked by this whole situation. Okay, I ... I can’t imagine how terrified my parents, friends, and trainers were. It’s just beyond reason. I want to say: never believe the press. It happens that they write such horror. This is not the first time I have encountered the "love" of the yellow press. But this whole situation goes beyond the borders, ”the gymnast added.

The day before, when rumors about an attempted suicide just appeared, Soldatova also recorded a video rendition, it was posted on Instagram by her coach Anna Dyachenko. Then the gymnast said that she cut herself when cooking.

“The horror, the complete untruth are written in the press, to be honest, I just have no words. I want to either laugh or cry. How could one write this without the slightest fact of evidence? I cooked breakfast yesterday morning, cut myself, it happens, everyone happens. The knives are sharp, I’m a gymnast, I’ve been standing in the kitchen not so long ago, ”she explained.

Soldatova also promised that fans will be able to see her as early as Sunday - at a gala concert immediately after the Grand Prix in Moscow. Later it became known that the athlete's indicative number was indeed still announced in the program.

In addition, the gymnast does not exclude that she can sue the media, which spread false information about the attempted suicide. The followers on Instagram asked the soldatov about this, and, according to the girl, she already thought about such a step. By the way, the trainer Amin Zaripova, who at one time worked with the Olympic champion Margarita Mamun, also left a comment with a proposal to draw up a lawsuit.

Resentment of media speculation about the status of Soldatova was expressed by her trainer Irina Viner-Usmanova. She harshly denied rumors about a suicide attempt by her ward, saying that she was already getting ready for her Sunday speech.

“You will send your colleagues somewhere far away. Soldatova is as healthy as a bull, everything is fine with her. Today she was at my rehearsal of the gala concert, and on Sunday will perform at it. She cut herself, a wound was sewn up to her. Can the media talk about something else? What do you climb into the soul to all? They made a mess with these idiotic stuffing, ”said Viner-Usmanova in an interview with RIA Novosti.

However, not all fans of Soldatova were convinced by her refutation of information about suicide. Some noted that a few hours before the publication of the first video, RIA Novosti reported that the athlete was in the N.V. Sklifosovsky, "lies in the psychosomatic department, a state of moderate severity" and visitors are not allowed to visit her.

In numerous comments on Soldatova’s posts, users recalled that patients with light cuts are not hospitalized. Many also drew attention to the fact that in the recorded video the athlete hides her hands. At the same time, it seemed to some subscribers that the gymnast was smiling through force, and they concluded that Soldatov was allegedly forced to record this refutation.

As a result, some commentators felt that the gymnast was trying to hide the truth and that an attempted suicide really took place.

Also, the fans of the athlete recalled the conflicting comments of the coach Anna Dyachenko, who had mentioned the day before that doctors were checking Soldatova.

“Sasha called from the hospital, said she was taking tests and so I don’t worry,” said Dyachenko, emphasizing that the information about the girl’s suicide was as shocking for her as for everyone else.

Fans drew attention to the statement by the ROC, which said that "one of the leading gymnasts of Russia Alexander Soldatov was in a difficult life situation."
