A Brazilian soccer summit stopped on Sunday for twenty minutes, after the crowd stormed the pitch and a player from the opposing team knocked him down before he was deliberately kicked by a teammate.

The Avai team was ahead 2-0 away from its rival Fegernesi in Florianopolis, when the video footage showed that a fan not wearing a shirt stormed the stadium towards the bench of the visiting team.

Alternative goalkeeper Glidson knocked down this fan, before another Avai player, Bruno Silva, came to try to kick the man who had fallen to the ground, but - unintentionally - he kicked his teammate instead.

The police entered the stadium and removed the cheerleader, while many tried to storm the barriers around the stadium.

The pictures showed a fight between the Figuernsey fans themselves, and several hurdles were shattered.

O estopim da confusão foi esse:
- um torcedor do Figueirense invadiu o campo e foi direto no banco do Avaí
- Glédson, goleiro reserva do Avaí, o conteve
- Bruno Silva chegou dando um chute - que atingiu o próprio Glédson, na verdade # FIGxAVA # Catarinense2020 pic.twitter.com/gkcfQugStV

Brazilian reports stated that the problem started when Bruno Silva was replaced and subjected to abusive slogans by Fijerence fans, while the player responded with inappropriate signals after leaving the field.

The two teams play in the Brazilian second division, although this match was held in a regional championship. The match was suspended for 20 minutes before the game was resumed unchanged.
