With 23 goals and 32 assists, Elias Pettersson from Ånge is the best Swede in the NHL.

He has provided five assists in the last five games but the goals have not been met. After six straight games without finding the net, the longest goal drought this season for the 21-year-old, Pettersson showed off fine offensive qualities again. In the beginning of the match, the puck landed just behind the Swede, after which he turned around and lying in the air he got to a finish that looked into the goal.

Carolina turned the game around and when Vancouver chased a receipt to 3-3 the Swede stepped forward again. This time around, he fired almost in line with the extended goal line, and via the Carolina goalie, James Reimer's leg guard, looked for the puck.

The match was decided on penalties where Pettersson struck again. But that helped when the team's new star, Justin Williams stepped in and made the decision.

38-year-old Williams recently made a comeback after not signing a new contract when the contract with Carolina expired last spring. In his four games, Williams has scored two goals and one assist plus the decisive goal in the Vancouver meeting.
