Statistically, Lars Johansson has had three great years in CSKA Moscow. But has mostly been acting second goalkeeper behind Ilja Sorokin.

On Sunday, he stood his second straight match in the series and showed why he should join and challenge the first track. In the "away match" with Kunlun Red Star, which was played at home when the match was moved from Beijing because of the Chinese New Year celebration, he kept zero and made sure that the reigning champion continues to dominate the KHL. It was the sixth time this season that Johansson had zero.

Lars Johansson is one of two goalkeepers called for next week's national team tournament at home. The 32-year-old has not played a World Cup tournament yet, but may be up to the championship that will be decided in May.
