After Liverpool continued their overwhelming advantage over competitors this season in the English Premier League, coach Juergen Klopp said he had never seen such distinction and consistent performance from his record-breaking team.

Southampton tried to withstand Liverpool before collapsing in the second half and lose 0-4, to succeed the landowner in continuing his amazing career that seems to be record in the history of English football.

After agreeing to describe Liverpool's lead by 22 points - the biggest difference at the end of a day of competition in the history of the Premier League - as "astounding", Klopp was asked by journalists whether any of his previous teams had succeeded in providing such a steady performance .

"I have never seen that until I am honest. If I am asked to ask questions from abroad then I will ask these same questions. It is not about my feeling that we are getting stronger and stronger after every victory, it is not like that, it is one wonderful celebration then we go back and try to repeat that".

"Our situation is not perfect and we are not even close to idealism, we are only trying to use our skills as best as possible. The players did this very well and for this reason we see such numbers ... but this does not make us feel it is exceptional but we feel it is the result of hard work."

But the reality is that Liverpool is doing something exceptional, and the statistics show that the team is very promising.

Liverpool scored 73 points from the first 25 games, after winning 24 times and drawing in one match, which is the largest number of points scored by any team during that stage in the history of the five major league competitions in Europe.

Liverpool is following in the footsteps of Arsenal's 2003-2004 season when it ended the season unbeaten, and Saturday's victory was the 20th in a row for the team at Anfield, equaling Manchester City's record in the Premier League era.

The Liverpool team - led by Coach Bill Shankly in 1972 - holds the record for 21 consecutive wins at home, but the Club team has the opportunity to break that and win all 19 games at home at Anfield. So far Liverpool have won 13 home games this season in the League.

It seemed that the Manchester City record in the 2017-2018 season with 100 points will hold long, but Liverpool have the opportunity to reach 112 points if they win in their next matches, after losing only two points throughout the season when they drew in a rival hosted by Manchester United in October.

Liverpool are looking to end the competition by a bigger margin than the record for Manchester City, when they won the title 19 points behind their neighbors Manchester United in 2018.

However, the attempt to defend the Champions League title may cause Klopp to not be very interested in writing more records, as he would prefer to give his main players more comfort after the league title was officially decided.
