Master stroke for Alexis Pinturault. The French skier signed the 27th victory of his career in the World Cup by winning the giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Sunday. Here he is back in the race for the Big Crystal Globe, since his great rival, the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, had to settle for 7th place.

Finally relaunched in its chosen discipline

Pinturault now only has 55 points behind the Norwegian, leader with 877 points, against 822 for the French. We call it a perfect day, which is good for morale after a complicated month of January (two zeros in slalom). Fourth at the end of the first round this Sunday, "Pintu", 28, managed the second well, finally ahead of the Swiss Loïc Meillard and the Norwegian Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen.

After winning the first giant of the season in Sölden (Austria), the Courchevel skier was back in line in his favorite discipline (17th at Beaver Creek, 8th at Alta Badia and 10th at Adelboden). Here it is re-boosted after this passage on the slopes of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
